Characteristics

Monoicum, habitu C. plicato simile, late complanatum, planis-simum, pinnatum, intense viride, radicans. Folia turgide imbricata vel erecto-patentia, ovato-acuminata, concava, acu-mine obliquo, serrulato-denticulata, costis binis brevibusplerumque obsoletis, margine vix reflexa; cellulis angustis adangulos quadratis numerosis chlorophyllosis. Folia perichretialia late ovato-lanceolata, vaginantia, longe cuspidata, in-tegra, ecostata, cellulis elongatissimis; folia externa valdeminora obtusissima vel rotundata. Capsula in pedicello rubello 2-3 cent, longo laevi ovalo-cylindrica, erecta; operculo conico recto rubro. Peristomii dentes externi 16 geminati inter articulationes remotas hiantes apice coadnati rufi longitudinaliter striatuli, interni 16 concolores aequilongi fissiles.
