Characteristics

Leaf well-developed at flowering, narrowly ovate, ground-hugging, light green to yellowish, 10–40 × 5–15 mm, held 5–25 mm above ground level, often cupped with paler margins, apex sharply pointed. Flower stem wiry, 10–250 mm long, sturdy, glabrous, 1-or 2-flowered. Flowers 9–12 × 9–12 mm, dorsal sepal and petals pale pink to deep pink or white, lateral sepals white or pink, labellum pink to red with red or white bristles. Dorsal sepal obovate, 7–10 × 2–3 mm. Lateral sepals 7–10 × 3–4 mm, basal stalk c. 2.5 mm long. Petals narrowly spathulate, 4–6 × 2–2.5 mm, held close to dorsal sepal. Labellum 6–8 × 3–4.5 mm when flattened; midlobe ovate, 5–7 × 3–4.5 mm, fleshy, nearly round. Column 4–6 × 2–2.5 mm with dark pink anther.
