More
Corollas 3–4.5 mm. long, narrowly funnel-shaped, with the limb ± tapering into a short tube (not abruptly contracted), lobes more than half the limb in length, almost linear, apically acute.
Involucres usually 1.5–2 mm. long, but sometimes up to c. 2.8 mm. long; capitulum stalks up to c. 10 mm. long.
Leaves mostly similar in shape and size to those in E. conyzoides but can be up to c. 16 cm. long.
Plants are typically rhizomatous perennial herbs; rhizomes slender with long stout roots.
This species is very similar to E. conyzoides L.f., though slightly larger.
Stems woody in the lower part.
