Characteristics

Mallee to 3.5 m, sometimes to 6 m. Bark smooth throughout, light grey to brown-grey. Juvenile leaves alternate, petiolate, elliptic to lanceolate, grey-green. Adult leaves alternate, erect, linear-lanceolate, uncinate, glandular; lamina 7–12 cm long, 0.6–1 cm wide, grey-green; lateral veins faint, at 30°–40°; intramarginal vein up to 1 mm from margin; petiole terete, 4–10 mm long. Umbels 7–11-flowered; peduncle slender, 8–15 mm long; pedicels slender, 5–10 mm long. Buds conical; operculum conical, 5–9 mm long, 4–7 mm wide; hypanthium shallowly hemispherical, 2–4 mm long and wide. Fruits subglobular, 4–7 mm long, 6–10 mm wide; disc flat to convex; valves 3 or 4, exserted. Seeds cubical to pyramidal, grey-brown.
