Characteristics

Tree to 15 m. Bark white to grey. Juvenile leaves alternate, petiolate, lanceolate, dark green, discolorous. Adult leaves lanceolate to narrowly lanceolate, moderately thick; lamina 7.5–13 cm long, 0.7–1.3 cm wide; intramarginal vein c. 1 mm from margin; petiole terete, 10–15 mm long. Umbels 7–11-flowered; peduncle terete, 1–5 mm long. Operculum conical, acute, 3–4 mm long and wide; hypanthium obconical, 4–5 mm long, 3–4 mm wide. Fruits subglobular, 5–7 mm long and wide; disc broad; valves level or just included.
