Characteristics

Tree to 30 m. Juvenile leaves broadly lanceolate to ovate. Adult leaves lanceolate, often falcate; lamina 10–15 cm long, 1.7–2.5 cm wide; lateral veins just visible, at 55°–60°; intramarginal vein up to 1 mm from margin; petiole channelled or flattened, 15–25 mm long. Umbels 7–11-flowered; peduncle flattened, 6–12 mm long; pedicels absent or to 5 mm long. Buds ovoid or broadly fusiform; operculum conical or hemispherical, 5–7 mm long, 5–6 mm wide; hypanthium hemispherical or obconical, 4–5 mm long, c. 5 mm wide. Fruits hemispherical or obconical, sometimes ribbed, 6–8 mm long, 6–10 mm wide; disc level or ascending.
