Characteristics

Mallee or tree to 10 m. Bark smooth throughout, olive green-yellow. Juvenile leaves alternate, petiolate, narrowly elliptic to elliptic, blue-green, slightly discolorous to concolorous. Adult leaves alternate, narrowly lanceolate, usually falcate, acuminate; lamina 7–13 cm long, 0.8–1.6 cm wide, blue-green, concolorous; lateral veins faint, at 25°–35°; intramarginal vein up to 1 mm from margin; petiole slightly flattened or terete, 6–13 mm long. Umbels 3-flowered; peduncle angular, 2–5 mm long; pedicels 1–5 mm long. Buds pyriform or cylindrical, rostrate, green or glaucous when dried; operculum conical, 2–3 mm long, c. 3 mm wide; hypanthium obconical or urceolate, c. 5 mm long, c. 4 mm wide. Fruits cylindrical, hemispherical or campanulate, 4–6 mm long, 5–7 mm wide; disc narrow, slightly descending; valves 3–5, usually 4, slightly exserted.
