Leaves tending to be held suberect, narrowly oblong-elliptic, 2.5–6.3 cm long, 0.7–1.9 cm wide, subacute but actual apex usually rounded, cuneate at the base, glabrous, gland-dotted; margin thickened and slightly revolute; petiole ± 3 mm long.. Fascicles 1–5-flowered; pedicels ± 4 mm long, glabrous or pubescent; bracteoles triangular, 0.5 mm long, ferruginous pubescent.. Sepals rounded oblong, 2–2.5 mm long, 1.8–2 mm wide, convex, ciliate, faces glabrous but with very conspicuous gland dots.. Petals white or pinkish, oblong-elliptic, 3.5–5 mm long, 2–3 mm wide, glabrous except for a few apical ciliae.. Stamens at least 40, filaments 2–2.5 mm long; anthers 0.8 mm long.. Style 3 mm long, absent in male flower; stigma peltate.. Fruits dark purple, 7–11 mm diameter, very closely glandular-pustulate, crowned by ± erect sepals; seeds solitary, subglobose–comma-shaped, 8 mm long, 7.5 mm wide.
