Characteristics

Lip 5 mm long, 3-lobed towards the base; side lobes semi-orbicular; mid-lobe narrowly oblong, obtuse, with a small, obtuse callus towards the base of the mid-lobe; spur c. 2 mm long, cylindrical, obtuse, at right angles to the lip.

Inflorescence laxly 5–40-flowered; peduncle without chlorophyll with many loose subtruncate, apiculate basal sheaths set close together; upper sheaths more widely spaced, lanceolate, cucullate, acute.
Sepals subequal, c. 7 × 2 mm, linear-oblong, obtuse, somewhat narrowed towards the base.
Perennating organ a subterranean rhizome, horizontal or ascending, oblong, acute.
Bracts similar to upper sheaths, lanceolate, acute, shorter than the ovary.
