Perennating organs above ground, pseudobulbous, conical, proximate, 3–3.5 cm. long, 1.5–2 cm. diameter; roots from base of pseudobulbs, 4–6 mm. diameter.. Leaves 3–4, plicate, suberect, elliptic, acute, 10–35 cm. long, 3–9.5 cm. wide, shortly petiolate, articulated to conduplicate leaf-base.. Inflorescence laxly 5–many-flowered, opening before or with leaves; peduncle 4–9 mm. diameter, bearing up to 7 papery sheaths in lower half; rhachis 7–29 cm. long; bracts suberect, papery, lanceolate, acuminate, 10–30 mm. long, 2–4 mm. wide..
