Characteristics

Flowers not opening wide; sepals brownish or yellow-brown flushed with purple inside; petals and lip yellow or yellow-green, the lip outlined in purple and with purple veining on the side lobes and yellow papillae on the mid-lobe.

Lip 3-lobed, 4–8 × 2–6 mm across side lobes when flattened; side lobes erect; mid-lobe elliptic; callus of 3 basal ridges turning to papillae on mid-lobe; spur 3–5 mm long, decurved in the apical half, sometimes swollen at tip.
Perennating organs subterranean, pseudobulbous, 2.5–5 × 1–2 cm, conical, with several nodes, forming a chain; roots 0.5–1 mm in diameter.
Leaves 5–7, the 2 lowest sheath-like, forming a tuft, 3–10 cm × 1–4 mm, linear, acuminate, green, coriaceous, conduplicate.
Capsules 12–15 mm long, pendent, starting to develop at the base of the inflorescence before the apical buds are open.
