Characteristics

Lip 11.5–15 × 9.5–14 mm when flattened, 3-lobed, with 3–7 undulate lamellae running the entire length of the lip; side lobes triangular, subacute or obtuse; mid-lobe 4–6 × 5–8 mm, subquadrate, apiculate; spur 3–7 mm long, cylindrical, bent down at about halfway, the apex slightly swollen and bifid.

Inflorescence laxly 6–10-flowered; scape stout, c. 4 mm in diameter, with 1–3 scarious sheaths towards the base.
Sepals 13–17 × 5–6 mm, oblanceolate to elliptic-oblong, apiculate, the dorsal erect, the laterals spreading.
Leaves 3–7, forming a fan, 17–26 cm × 7–12 mm, linear, acute, grass-like, well developed at flowering time.
Petals lying over column, 10–13 × 5–10 mm, ovate-elliptic, subacute or rounded and apiculate.

Sepals green, blotched with olive-brown; petals and lip bright yellow.
