Leaves several, 14–20 cm long, 2–5 mm in diameter, linear, grass-like, quite well developed at flowering time.(In most herbarium specimens they look as if they had been chopped off at the tip.)Inflorescence laxly 1–3-flowered; scape with several sheaths towards the base.
Perennating organs mostly subterranean, pseudobulbous, 1.5–3 × 1–1.5 cm, conical, forming a chain; roots 1.5–2 mm in diameter, arising from base of pseudobulb.
Flowers erect, facing upwards, greenish-brown or greenish with a greenish-yellow and white lip spotted with lilac, or brown and yellow.
Petals 12 × 4 mm, ovate, acute, lying over the column.
Bracts 5 mm long, lanceolate, acute.
Sepals 16 × 5 mm, lanceolate, acute.
Pedicel and ovary c. 20 mm long.
Terrestrial herb 15–25 cm tall.
Column straight, 3 mm long.
