Characteristics

Lip 15–21 × 20 mm, 3-lobed; side lobes erect, rounded; mid-lobe c. 10 × 9 mm, recurved, oblong, rounded, the edges undulate; callus of 3 basal crests, becoming lacerate or papillose on the mid-lobe; spur 10–20 mm long, cylindrical from a funnel-shaped base, straight or slightly recurved.

Leaves several, 14–20 cm long, 2–5 mm in diameter, linear, grass-like, quite well developed at flowering time.(In most herbarium specimens they look as if they had been chopped off at the tip.)Inflorescence laxly 1–3-flowered; scape with several sheaths towards the base.
