Glabrous shrublet. Stem little-branched or sometimes simple, sub-erect or ascending, 2-6 dm high, closely leafy in the upper parts, denuded below. Leaves erecto-patent-spreading, 1-4 cm long, pinnatipartite with linear segments; leaf-lobes 2-4 on each side, mostly opposite or sub-opposite, erecto-patent-spreading, narrowly midveined (at least ad-axially), acute-subacute and mucronate, flattened; apical lobes 5-20 mm long and 0.6-1.2 mm wide, basal lobes much shorter. Leaf-margins often sparsely and minutely ciliate-denticulate. Upper leaf-axils sometimes laxly arachnose with a white deciduous tomentum. Peduncles terminal, solitary, ± erect, 6-17 cm long, 0.5-1 mm thick, at the involucre-base thickened to 2(-3) mm, terete, smooth or striate. Involucre campanulate, 1-1.5 cm in diam. Involucral bracts uniseriate, 8-10, ovate-narrowly ovate, 5-7 mm long, 2-4 mm wide, connate to the middle, many-striate, subacute-somewhat acuminate with narrow puberulous tips. Receptacle convex, distinctly alveolate with raised and ± denticulate pit-margins. Ray-florets 8-11, yellow. Tube cylindrical, 0.8-2 mm long. Lamina elliptic-oblong, 5-10 mm long, 3-4.5 mm wide, 4-5(-10)-veined. Style terete; style branches 0.3-0.7 mm long with truncate-rounded tips. Disc-florets c. 50-80. Corolla 2.5-4 mm long. Tube cylindrical, 0.6-1 mm long. Limb narrowly campanulate, 1.8-2.5 mm long; lobes narrowly ovate, quite acute with a sometimes elongated apical appendage, 0.8-1 mm long. Anthers 1.2-1.6 mm long incl. the ovate-narrowly ovate acute appendage. Style terete; style branches 0.2-0.5 mm long with conical tips, or style sterile, very shortly lobed or simple, tipped with a cone. Pappus 0. Achenes oblong-obovate to almost pyriform, 4.5-5 mm long, 2-2.5 mm wide, indistinctly 8-12-ribbed, dull green-dark brown, densely papillate with small whitish papillae.
