Shrub or small tree to 8 m high, evergreen. Stipules lanceolate, 0.3–1 mm long. Leaves discolorous; petiole 5–16 mm long; lamina elliptic, lanceolate-ovate or ovate, 15–100 mm long, 6–40 mm wide; base cuneate, rounded; margins crenate with 14–28 teeth[?]; tip acute to obtuse or acuminate-obtuse; lateral veins 9–13. Male flowers subsessile; sepals 3, linear-lanceolate, 0.5–0.6 mm long; stamens 3. Female flowers: pedicels 0.5–0.8 mm long; sepals 3 or 4, lanceolate to lanceolate-ovate, 0.7–1.4 mm long; styles 3, 1.5–3.5 mm long. Fruit globose, 6–6.6 mm long, 7.5–8 mm diam. Seeds oblong, 4–4.5 mm long, 3–3.5 mm wide.
