Leaves in whorls of 3; blades distinctly but not very markedly discolorous on drying, elliptic, oblong-elliptic, elliptic-lanceolate or somewhat obovate-elliptic, 3–10(–11.5) cm. long, 0.7–2.8(–3.5) cm. wide, narrowly rounded at the apex, cuneate at the base, drying brown above with the venation, particularly the midrib, pale and raised, somewhat glaucous beneath with the venation usually darker and contrasting; petiole 1–2 mm. long; stipule-bases broad, connate, 1–1.5 mm. long, with narrow subulate apex about equal twice the length of the base.. Inflorescences glaucous, 3–6-flowered; peduncle 0.5–1.6(–3.5) cm. long; pedicels 0.2–1.1(–2) cm. long.. Calyx-tube 1.2–2.5 mm. long, the limb reduced to a ± truncate rim.. Buds obtuse to acuminate.. Corolla greenish white to cream; tube cylindrical-campanulate, 2.5–4.5 mm. long; lobes oblong to triangular, 3 mm. long, 1.8 mm. wide, papillate-puberulous along the margins, acute to apiculate.. Ovary 2–4-locular; style 5–6 mm. long; stigmatic club cylindric or coroniform, 1 mm. long, 2–3-lobed..
