Description as for F. oblonga, except: Leaves broadly ovate to reniform, as long as wide or slightly longer than wide, clearly cordate at base. Calyx persistent and indurated, enclosing and protecting ripe fruit. Flowering time Sept.-Dec. Fruit geocarpic; buried into soil.
