Characteristics

Although it grows to a height of 10 m, this species generally has a shrub-like habit. Leaves up to 100 mm long, 25 mm wide, margin entire; stalk 10 mm long. Flowerhead erect, not pendulous, 80-100 mm long, greenish white, finely covered with velvety hairs. Flowers stalked. Fruits with long, hoary, whitish hairs. Flowers: October to January.
