Home
Shrub, up to 2.5 m high. Branches 4-ribbed owing to decurrent leaf bases. Leaves shortly petiolate, narrowly obovate, toothed in upper part. Corolla regular, with tube and spreading lobes. Flowers mauve.
Leaves 1–3.5 x 0.5–0.75 cm., obovate to oblanceolate, obtuse, attenuate at base into short petiole, margins thickened, frequently with few teeth in upper half; petiole 0.5–2 mm. long.
Calyx 3–3.5 mm. long, lobes 2–2.5 x 0.5–1 mm., oblong, obtuse, shortly to more or less densely minutely stipitate-glandular.
Inflorescence of axillary cymes, each with 2–5 flowers, somewhat viscid; bracts minute, 1–1.5 mm. long.
Shrub 0.6–2(4) m. tall; stems tetragonous, glabrous, viscid when young.
Fruit 3.5–5 x 3 mm., broadly ellipsoid, dull yellow.
Flowers purple through lilac to pale blue and white.
Ovary shortly ovoid, basally compressed.
