Leaves in whorls of 6, 1-nerved, 10–35 x 0.5–1.5(3) mm., linear to linear-elliptic, obtuse to ± acute at apex but without a distinct filiform acumen, narrowed to base; glabrous to ± densely covered with spreading hairs, margins mostly recurved.
Corolla 2–3(3.5) mm. in diam., ± campanulate, white, lobes longer than wide, ± acute; stamens ± half as long as lobes; ovary c. 0.3–0.6 mm. long.
Inflorescence ± cylindrical, cymes ± many-flowered, ultimate branches with 1–2 minute bracts; pedicels 1–3(4) mm. long, often recurved in fruit.
Stems several to numerous, suberect or straggling, c. 10–30(45) cm. long, glabrous or with whitish spreading hairs.
Fruit glabrous; mericarps subglobose, each c. (1.8)2–3 mm. in diam.
Perennial with a slightly woody base.
