Garcinia beccarii Pierre

A tree. It grows 25 m tall. The stems have yellow latex. The leaves are opposite and simple. The flowers are 5 mm across. They are yellow to green. They are in bundles in the axils of leaves. The fruit are 2 cm across. They are yellow to orange. They are fleshy and there is a fleshy layer or aril around the seeds.

A sub-canopy tree growing in undisturbed mixed dipterocarp and sub-montane forests at elevations up to 1,000 metres. It is found mostly on hillsides and ridges with sandy soils.

Plants can be grown by seeds.
