Characteristics

Flower stem 0.2–1.3 m tall, pale brown, fleshy, erect in bud, 10–50-flowered. Flowers tubular, strongly bulbous at base, held obliquely erect, 12–14 mm long, externally white, sparsely warty, ageing brownish, internally white, lightly fragrant. Petals erect, margins folded inwards. Labellum 12.5–14 × 7–8 mm, white, 3-lobed; lateral lobes warty, with thickened margins; midlobe broad, with broadly rounded margins and folded, crinkled towards apex. Callus of 2 pimply ridges, without pseudopollen. Column 9.5–11 × 4 mm, sparsely wrinkled; anther cap smooth. Capsules 12–14 × 6–8 mm, urn-shaped.
