Characteristics

Suffrutex gracilis; ramuli atro-purpurei, glabri, in siccitate sulcati, internodiis circiter 3 cm longis. Folia alterna, linearia, 8 cm longa, 1 mm lata, uninervia, integra, glabra, supra plana, infra margine incurvata, basi et apice sensim angustata. Capitula solitaria, axillaria, sessilia vel fructu breviter pedunculata, pedunculis usque ad 4 mm longis. Involucrum urceolatum; bracteae coriaceae, multiseriatae, uninerviae, apice mucronatae vel exteriores foliaceae, usque ad 2.5 cm longae; receptaculum longe pilosum; ligulae usque ad 0.75 cm longae; corollae lobiflorum discoidorum apice margine pilis paucis brevibus induti; stylus profunde bifidus; achaenia pilosa; pappus squamosus; squamae aliae aristatae, aliae obtusae.
