Perennial herb, up to 0.5 m high; hairy. Stems erect. Leaves alternate, sessile; blade elliptic to ovate or narrowly obovate, up to 30 x 10 mm, stiff, leathery; apex obtuse, pungent-mucronate, base obtuse, amplexicaul, margins entire, often undulate, viscid-hispidulous, sparsely glandular. Heads radiate, solitary at branch tips or short lateral branches. Involucre ± 10 mm in diameter; involucral bracts ± 4-seriate. Receptacle paleate. Flowers: ray and disc florets yellow; Dec.-Jun. Fruit with cypsela turbinate, silky villous. Pappus of 10 scales, alternate ones tipped with slender awn.
Stemmed, hairy perennial herb or shrub, up to 0.8 m high. Leaves elliptic to oval or oblanceolate, apex obtuse, mucronate, sessile. Heads solitary. Flowers yellow.
