Plants 100-150 mm high excluding leaves. Corm globose-elliptic, ± 8 mm diam.; tunics light brown, concentric, splitting into vertical sections, drawn into short bristles above. Stem erect below, flexed outward above sheaths of upper 2 leaves, unbranched. Leaves 3, rarely 2, straight, terete with 4 narrow, longitudinal grooves, 0.5-1.0 mm diam., lowermost basal, longest, often exceeding spike, up to 300 mm long, uppermost leaf inserted in middle of stem. Spike flexuose, inclined with flowers on upper side, (1)2-or 3-flowered; bracts ± dry, light brown-translucent, 12-16 mm long, inner slightly shorter than outer, forked at apex. Flowers actinomorphic, cup-shaped, pale yellow, unscented; perianth tube funnel-shaped, 7-9 mm long; tepals narrowly ovate-elliptic, 18-25 x 6.0-8.5 mm. Filaments erect, equal, 12-14 mm long; anthers ± 5 mm long, yellow. Style dividing opposite upper 1/3 of anthers, branches ± 5 mm long.
