Geissorhiza unifolia Goldblatt

Plants small, 50-100 mm high. Corm globose, ± 5 mm diam.; tunics brown, brittle papery, ± concentric, notched below, drawn into bristles above. Stem erect, flexed above leaf sheath, minutely papillate-ciliate especially below, unbranched. Leaves 2(3), lower basal, sheathing stem below, ± falcate, 0.5-1.3 mm wide, margins and main vein thickened, uppermost leaf entirely sheathing. Spike flexuose, 1-to 5-flowered; bracts 3.5-5.0 mm long, green below, dry and transparent to light brown above. Flowers actinomorphic, rotate, tiny, white, outer tepals purple-pink outside; perianth tube ± cylindric, 1.5-2.0 mm long; tepals ± elliptic, 3.5-5.0 x ± 2 mm. Filaments equal, erect, ± 2 mm long; anthers 1.0-1.8 mm long. Style dividing ± opposite middle of anthers, branches ± 1 mm long. Capsules globose, ± 4 mm long, shorter than bracts.
