Spike erect, (2)4-to 7-flowered, 2-ranked; bracts relatively soft-textured, apices becoming dry and light brown soon after anthesis, outer (15-)23-30 mm long, inner bracts slightly shorter to ± as long, apiculate or minutely forked. Flowers pale pink, upper tepals dark red toward base, dorsal 1/2 of tube dark red distally, lower margins of dorsal tepal with wide transparent band, lower lateral tepals lightly streaked with pink longitudinal lines in basal half, lower median tepal whitish in lower 1/2 with purple streaks, lower tepals also with white zone and central red spot just below tepal sutures, unscented; perianth tube obliquely funnel-shaped, ± 16 mm long, lower cylindric part ± 8 mm long; tepals widely spreading, dorsal slightly larger than others, ± 25 x 16 mm, curving outward with margins curved back, upper laterals patent distally, 24-26 x 15 mm, lower 3 tepals recurved above, 21-24 x 12 mm. Filaments ± 16 mm long, reddish in lower 1/2, exserted ± 8 mm from tube; anthers ± 8 mm long, curved below the horizontal, dark purple; pollen cream-coloured. Style arching over stamens, dividing between base and middle of anthers, branches 5-6 mm long. Capsules obovoid, 3-lobed above and retuse, 21-24 mm long.
