Leaves not fascicled, mostly opposite and decussate, bases connate, decurrent down stem, sometimes becoming subopposite or alternate towards tips of twigs, largest leaves 3.5-7 x 1.5-3 mm, elliptic or oblong-elliptic, apex subobtuse, base narrowed, decurrent, margins entire or with a few (c. 1-6) small teeth, texture thick, venation invisible, glabrous or occasionally a few hairs on margins at base. Inflorescence a small glomerule (raceme) up to c. 10 x 10 mm in first flower, solitary at tips of innumerable leafy branchlets. Bract adnate to pedicel only, lowermost c. 4-5 x 1-1.25 mm, more or less lanceolate, tip subobtuse, incurved, hairs up to 0.7-0.8 mm long on margins, to 0.25-0.5 mm on back, particularly lower half, often glabrous towards tip, inside glabrous or with a few scattered hairs to c. 0.2 mm. Pedicels c. 0.1-0.2 mm long. Calyx c. 2-2.5 mm long, campanulate, 5-lobed roughly halfway to base, 2 anticous lobes slightly larger than other three, all lobes deltoid, acute, hairs up to 0.8 mm long on margins, to 0.6-0.7 mm all over outside, inner surface glabrous. Corolla tube c. 4-5 mm long, funnel-shaped, limb c. 5 mm across lateral lobes, posticous lobes c. 1.5-1.7 x 1.2-1.3 mm, anticous lobe c. 2.25-2.5 x 1.7-1.8 mm, all lobes broadly elliptic, white, possibly with a yellow patch down back of throat but not detected in specimens seen. Stamens', posticous filaments c. 0.9-1.5 mm long, anthers in throat, anticous filaments c. 1.6-2 mm long, anthers shortly exserted. Stigma and style c. 2.5-4 mm long, style puberulous. Ovary, c. 1 x 0.5 mm. Coccus (immature) 1.8 x 1 mm, held within persistent calyx.
