Characteristics

Trees 3-5 m tall. Leaves (1 or)3-or 5(or 6)-foliolate; petiolules 2-8 mm; leaflet blades oblong to lanceolate, 7-18 × 3-6 cm, margin entire or repand, apex acuminate. Inflorescences axillary or terminal, paniculate, 1-4 cm, many flowered. Sepals broadly ovate, ca. 1 mm, margin ciliate. Petals ca. 5 × 2-3 mm. Stamens 10; filaments linear. Ovary terete. Fruit orange, broadly ellipsoid to ovoid, 1-1.4 × 0.8-1.2 cm, 1-seeded. Fl. and fr. year-round but flowering peak Jan-Mar.
