Branches sparingly branched above, puberulous at the apex; leaves opposite or in verticils of 4 each, oval, very obtuse, 4.5-5.5 lin. long, 2-3 lin. wide, thickly coriaceous, 3-5-nerved, slightly concave, at first adpressed silky-pilose, at length glabrous except sometimes at the base; flowers geminate at the ends of the branches; calyx 7-8 lin. long, white-silky outside; tube cylindrical; lobes oblong, subobtuse petals 4, linear-oblong, subacute, waxy, yellow, glabrous; upper anther exserted.
