Semiprostrate woody herb 30–50 cm. high; young branches densely glandular-setose, the setae deciduous except for the persistent bases.. Leaves anisophilous, opposite and decussate or sometimes ternate (fide Gilg (1898)); lamina oblong-elliptic or elliptic, 5–14.5 cm. long, 2–6 cm. wide, long-acuminate, base cuneate, glabrous; midrib and 2 pairs of longitudinal nerves impressed above, prominent beneath, lateral nerves subprominent beneath; petiole 1.5–6 cm. long.. Inflorescence 2–15-flowered umbels; flowers 5-merous; peduncle ± 5 mm. long; pedicels 10–12 mm. long, glandular-setose.. Calyx obconical, 4–5 mm. long, 5 mm. in diameter, glandular-setose; lobes shallowly triangular, ± 0.5 mm. high.. Petals obovate, acute, 1.2–1.5 cm. long, 7–8 mm. wide, pink.. Anthers ± 3 mm. long; posterior spur ± 1 mm. long; filaments 4 mm. long.. Fruiting calyx accrescent and woody.
