Leaves oblong to oblong-obovate or oblong-elliptic, 1–9.1 cm long, 0.5–4.5 cm wide, widest above the middle, obtuse to broadly acuminate at the apex, rounded at the base, sometimes slightly asymmetric, margins serrate to coarsely so, green and minutely pubescent above, greyish white tomentellous beneath, sometimes slightly brownish on the veins; petiole 1–6 mm long, brownish tomentellous; stipules subulate, ± 3 mm long.. Inflorescence a (1–)3(–4)-flowered cyme, 1–3 in a leaf-axil, the axes brownish pubescent; peduncle 3–12 mm long; pedicels 4–12 mm long.. Flowers yellow; sepals 8–10 mm long, greenish yellow outside, yellow inside; petals oblong, 4–6 mm long, 1–2.5 mm wide, obtuse to emarginate at the apex, yellow.. Androgynophore 1–2 mm long, glabrous, densely hairy at the apex.. Stamens 5–6 mm long, yellow to orange.. Ovary 1.5–2 mm long, densely hairy; style 4–5 mm long.. Fruit unlobed or rarely 2-lobed, the lobes 4–8 mm long, 5–8 mm wide, sparsely hairy, dark green turning orange-red when ripe.. Fig. 4/33 (leaf, p. 11).
