Characteristics

Shrub to 1.5 m tall, the branchlets erect; young growth viscid. Leaves linear-terete, erect, acute, uncinate, 4–7 mm long; stipules triangular, thick, viscid, to 0.5 mm long, brown. Flowers solitary, rarely racemose, axillary. Male flowers: pedicels 1–2 mm long, erect to recurved; calyx 1 mm long, divided to ¼–⅓ into broad obtuse lobes; stamens 7–10, in 1 whorl; disc small, convex. Female flowers: pedicels 1 mm long, erect; calyx 0.5 mm long, divided to ½ into thick lobes; carpels 2–3; stigmas linear, 1 mm long, thick. Fruiting carpels 3 mm long. Seed 1.5 mm long.
