Characteristics

Plants rather robust, 200-400 mm; leaves cauline, many, suberect, narrowly to broadly lanceolate, acute, 30-70 (-120) x 8-15 mm; basal leaf sheaths conspicuously horizontally barred with black. Inflorescences dense, many-flowered; bracts lanceolate, acuminate, to 35 mm long, hispid along the margins and midrib; ovary curved, subªsessile, 11-15 mm long. Flowers green. Sepals with margins and veins hispid; median sepal cu-cullate, broadly ovate, acute, 4-6 mm long; lateral sepals spreading, obliquely lanceolate, acute, 5-8 mm long. Petals simple, very obliquely triangular-ovate, obtuse, as long as the median sepal and adªherent to it. Lip porrect, tripartite; midlobe narªrowly oblong, obtuse, 4-6 mm long; side lobes linear, acute, as long as or slightly exceeding the midlobe, 4.5-6 mm long; spur inflated apically, as long as or shorter than the ovary, c. 9 mm long. Anther emarginate, c. 1.5 mm tall, canals to 0.5 mm long; stigmatic processes clavate, depressed, c. 1 mm long; central rostellum lobe transversely narrowly triangular, rounded, c. 0.5 mm long, latªeral lobes simple, narrowly oblong.
