Characteristics

Stem densely leafy; leaves 7–12, the lowermost 3 sheath-like, white with green reticulate veining, the next 7–8 semi-erect, set close together up to 6.5 × 1 cm, lanceolate or linear, acute, conduplicate; the rest much shorter and narrower.

Lip 3-lobed to 1.5–2 mm from base, c. 5 mm long in all; mid-lobe 3–3.5 × 1.5–2 mm, triangular; side lobes similar but slightly narrower and sometimes slightly shorter; spur 4–7 mm long, swollen at apex, parallel to ovary.
Petals 2-lobed to c. 1.5 mm from base, both lobes 3–3.5 × 1–2 mm, upper lobe erect, lying inside dorsal sepal; lower lobe spreading.
Dorsal sepal 3–4 × 2.5 mm, erect, convex; lateral sepals ± spreading, 4–5 × 2.5–3 mm,obliquely ovate.
Inflorescence 4.5–9 × 1.5–2.5 cm, densely many-flowered; bracts to 15 mm long, ovate, acute.
Ovary and pedicel erect, the pedicel 3 mm long, ovary c. 10 mm long.
Anther 2 mm long, the loculi set at an angle; canals 1 mm long.
Stigmatic arms 1–1.5 mm long, porrect, short and stout.
