Characteristics

Plants slender, 130-400 mm; leaves subradical, 5-14, oblong to linear, acute, 80-200 x 7-18 mm. Inflorescences fairly lax, (few-) many-flowered; bracts lanceolate, acuminate, glandular-pubescent, 10-24 mm long; ovary with pedicel angled, pedicel erect, slender, longer than the ovary, 11-17 mm long, ovary sparsely glandular-pubescent, 7-10 mm long. Flowers green. Sepals glandular-pubescent; median reflexed, concave, elliptic, acute, c. 5 mm long; laterals deflexed, obliquely obovate with lateral apiculus, 7-8 mm long. Petals bipartite to the base, puberulous; upper lobe erect, linear, truncate, 5-6 mm long; lower lobe linear-lanceolate, curved, 8-12 mm long. Lip deeply tripartite; midlobe linear, obtuse, 10-14 mm long; side lobes linear, acute, 8-10 mm long; spur inªcurved, inflated in the apical half, 20-25 mm long. Anther reflexed, c. 2.5 mm tall, canals porrect, c. 3.5 mm long; stigmatic processes porrect, clavate, c. 4 mm long; central rostellum lobe subulate, c. 2 mm long.

Terrestrial herb, up to 400 mm tall. Posterior petal lobe as broad as anterior lobe. Midlobe of lip much longer than side lobes. Spur 13-20 mm long, distinctly curved. Flowers green and white.
Stem leafy; leaves 4–7, the upper ones bract-like, the lower ones set close together near base of stem, semi-erect, the largest 10–17 × 0.5–1.7 cm, the margins ± undulate.
Lip 3-lobed, with basal claw c. 2 mm long; mid-lobe 12–13 × 0.5–0.8 mm; side lobes 7.5–8 × 0.4 mm; all lobes linear; spur 18–23 mm long, sigmoid.
Dorsal sepal 5–6 × 1.5–2 mm, reflexed; lateral sepals 7–8 × 4 mm, obliquely obovate with lateral apiculum.
Petals 2-lobed almost to base; upper lobe 5.5–6.5 × 0.5 mm, linear, erect; lower lobe 10–11 × 0.8–1.2 mm.
Inflorescence to 15 × 3–5 cm, densely several-to many-flowered; bracts 12–14 mm long.
Flowers semi-erect, green, green and white or yellow-green.
Anther 3 mm high, canals 4.6–5.7 mm long.
Stigmatic arms 5.5 mm long, porrect.
Pedicel and ovary 20–25 mm long.
