Leaves 6–9, the 2 lowest sheath-like with dark reticulate markings on a white ground, the remainder linear or ligulate-linear, very acute, up to 16 cm. long and 1.2 cm. broad, decreasing in size up the stem, the uppermost bract-like.. Inflorescence 7–30 cm. long, rather densely many-flowered.. Bracts narrowly lanceolate, acuminate, the lower ones about equalling the ovaries.. Flowers suberect with curved ovaries, green; pedicel with ovary ± 1 cm. long.. Dorsal sepal elliptical or elliptical-ovate, obtuse, ± 3.5 mm. long; lateral sepals deflexed, obliquely semi-ovate, subacute, ± 5 mm. long.. Petals forming a hood with the dorsal sepal and equalling it, ovate or oblong-ovate.. Lip undivided, recurved, ligulate or lanceolate-ligulate, 6 mm. long, obtuse..
