Characteristics

Plants fairly stout, 400-600 mm; leaves cauline, many, suberect, lanceolate, acute, 60-230 x 10-15 mm. Inflorescences rather dense, many-flowered; bracts lanceolate, acuminate, entire or denticulate, 10-20 mm long; pedicel with ovary straight or curved, pedicel 10-15 mm long, ovary c. 15 mm long. Flowers green with white centre. Median sepal reflexed, concave, elliptic, obtuse, 5-6 mm long; lateral sepals obovate with lateral apiculus, 8-9 mm long. Petals deeply bipartite; upper lobe recurved, linear, puberulous, c. 5 mm long; lower lobe elliptic-oblong or narrowly oblong, usually obtuse, puberulous basally, 8-9 mm long. Lip deeply tripartite, deflexed; midlobe linear, 10-11 mm long; side lobes linear-lanceolate, c. 7 mm long; spur straight, twisted through 180°, inflated in the apical half, 15-20 mm long. Anther reªflexed, c. 2 mm tall, canals divergent then incurªved, puberulous basally on the inside, c. 3.5 mm long; stigmatic processes clavate, divergent, pu-berulous, c. 4 mm long; central rostellum lobe subulate, c. 2 mm long.
