Characteristics

Lip 3-lobed ± to base; mid-lobe pendent, 12–14 × 1 mm, linear-ligulate, obtuse; side lobes 18–20 × 0.5–0.9 mm, curving up and out like lower petal lobes; spur 8–11 mm long, pendent, swollen at apex.

Basal leaf appressed to the ground, c. 3 × 3 cm, ovate-orbicular, cordate at base, acute, the upper surface fairly densely covered with white hairs c. 5 mm long, margins densely ciliate.
Petals 2-lobed almost to base; posterior lobe erect, 6–8 × 0.5–0.7 mm, linear, adnate to dorsal sepal; anterior lobe 18–20 × 0.3–0.7 mm, filiform, curving outwards and upwards.
Dorsal sepal erect, c. 7 × 3 mm, ovate, convex, acute; lateral sepals 8 × 2.8 mm, obliquely semi-ovate; all sepals hairy on outside.
Anther erect, c. 2 mm tall; canals 2 mm long, porrect; stigmatic arms decurved, c. 1 mm long, fairly stout.
Stem erect, with 1 basal leaf and 1 bract-like stem leaf; stem clothed in white hairs 4–5 mm long.
Terrestrial herb 13–20 cm tall; tubers c. 1 cm long, ovoid, villous.
Flowers suberect; sepals green, petals and lip white.
Ovary and pedicel 10 mm long, slightly arched.
Inflorescence c. 8 × 3 cm, laxly 6-flowered.
