Characteristics

Lip 3-lobed almost to base, mid-lobe 5–9 mm long, side lobes 3–5 mm long, all lobes linear, c. 0.5 mm wide, the margins sometimes serrate; spur pendent, 13–18 mm long, very slender, swollen near apex.

Stem leafy; leaves 7–13, the lowermost 1–2 usually sheath-like, the upper ones grading into the bracts, the middle ones ± spreading, the largest 6.5–21 × 1–2.5 cm, linear or lanceolate.
Petals 2-lobed almost to base; upper lobe 5–7.5 × 1–2 mm, lower lobe 3.5–6 × 1–1.5 mm, both lobes oblanceolate, sometimes toothed in upper half.
Dorsal sepal reflexed, 5–7.5 × 2–3 mm, elliptic; lateral sepals deflexed, 6–8 × 2–4 mm, obliquely semi-orbicular.
Inflorescence 4–37 × 3.5–5 cm, laxly or fairly densely several-to many-flowered; bracts 12–17 mm long.
Rostellum mid-lobe c. 2.5 mm long, side lobes slightly longer, the tips pincer-like.
Stigmatic arms c. 2 mm long, porrect, the tips enlarged and truncate.
Anther erect, 2.5–3 mm high; canals c. 2 mm long, slightly incurved.
Flowers white, the spur green towards the apex.
Pedicel and ovary 15–26 mm long, ± straight.
Tubers 1–2.5 cm long, ovoid or ellipsoid.
