Characteristics

Lip deflexed, 3-lobed with a basal claw 1.5–2 mm long; mid-lobe 9–10 × 0.5 mm, linear, obtuse; side lobes 5–6 × 0.3 mm, linear, acute; spur 8–10 mm long, pendent, only very slightly swollen in apical half.

Petals 2-lobed almost to base; upper lobe erect, 5–6 × 0.5 mm, linear, densely papillose-ciliolate; lower lobe ± deflexed, 6–7.5 × 2–2.5 mm, lanceolate, acute, slightly fleshy and opaque, glabrous.
Leaves 6–8, the lowermost reduced to sheaths, the stem leaves 3–5, suberect, c. 16 × 1 cm, linear-lanceolate, acute, sheathing at the base; uppermost leaves becoming bract-like.
Dorsal sepal reflexed, 5–6 × 3 mm, obovate, convex; lateral sepals deflexed, 7–8.5 × 5 mm, obliquely obovate.
Inflorescence 10–16 × 3.5–4 cm, laxly many-flowered; bracts less than half the length of pedicel and ovary.
Anther erect, 3–4 mm high; canals c. 4 mm long, porrect, the tips upturned.
Auricles c. 1.7 mm long, deeply 2-lobed, the lobes lanceolate-linear.
Stigmatic arms porrect, 4–4.5 mm long; rostellum mid-lobe 2 mm long.
Terrestrial herb 40–55 cm tall; tubers c. 20 × 8 mm, ellipsoid.
Pedicel and ovary 17–23 mm long, slightly arched.
