Characteristics

Lip deflexed, 3-lobed almost to base; mid-lobe 12–15 mm long; side lobes 8–10 mm long; all lobes linear, to 1 mm wide; spur (12.5)15–20 mm long, swollen towards apex, twisted in the middle, horizontal or upcurved so that the tip is higher than the ovary.

Leaves 5–9, the lowermost 1–2 sheathing, spotted with black, the next few leaves semi-spreading, 6–14 × 0.5–2 cm, linear-lanceolate, folded, the uppermost grading into the bracts.
Petals densely pubescent, 2-lobed almost to base; upper lobe 5–7 ×0.6–0.8 mm, linear, erect or recurved; lower lobes 9–13 × 1.5–2 mm, lanceolate, acute, spreading, hinged.
Inflorescence 5–26 × 3.5–5 cm, laxly or fairly densely several-to many-flowered; bracts 10–22 mm long, lanceolate, acuminate, finely pubescent or glandular.
Dorsal sepal reflexed, 5.5–8 × 2–3 mm, oblong; lateral sepals deflexed, 8.3–10 × 4–6 mm, obliquely obovate with a lateral apiculum.
Pedicel 16–20 mm long, semi-erect, ovary 8–10 mm long, horizontal, all becoming straight and semi-erect in fruit.
Stigmatic arms porrect, 3.6–5 mm long, (usually slightly shorter than anther canals), slender, truncate at apex.
Flowers green, or green with the anterior petal lobes white.
Column 3.5–4 mm high; anther canals porrect, 4–5 mm long.
Terrestrial herb 25–70 cm high; tubers small, ovoid.
Rostellum mid-lobe c. 2 mm long, triangular, acute.
