Characteristics

Plants fairly robust, 400-550 mm; leaves cauline, many, spreading, elliptic, acute, to 140 x 40 mm, grading rapidly into the floral bracts. Inflorescences fairly lax, many-flowered; pedicel 2-5 mm long, ovary slightly curved, 12-15 mm long. Flowers green. Median sepal erect, concave, ovate, acute, 10-12 mm long; lateral sepals spreading, obliquely lanceolate, acute, c. 11.5 mm long. Petals bipartite almost to the base; upper lobe erect, linear, as long as the median sepal and adherent to it; lower lobe spreading, linear, attenuate, c. 12 mm long. Lip tripartite from near the base, spreading, c. 13 mm long, lobes sub-equal, linear; side lobes more attenuate, 10-12 mm long; spur slightly incurved and somewhat inflated and compressed in the apical half, c. 20 mm long. Anther curved forward, c. 4 mm tall, canals porrect, abruptly upcurved and erect near the apex, c. 4 mm long; stigmatic processes clavate, receptive on the outer face, c. 5 mm long; rostellum ligulate, strongly incurved, c. 2 mm long.
