Characteristics

Plant 3-9.5 cm tall. Basal leaves up to 12; lamina terete, tapering, 3-3.5 mm diam. Inflorescence with a single, dense, umbel-like cluster of flowers; bracteoles opaque, red basally, black apically, the veins obscure, the margins not differentiated; upper bracteole obtuse, ⅓ to as long as flower. Flowers 5-5.5 mm long; sepals basally red, apically black; petals green. Sepals equal or slightly longer than petals. Stamens equal; anthers versatile, exserted from flower, c. 1 mm long. Style at anthesis exserted from flower, reaching to anther.
