Plant stemless with numerous leaves. Leaves more or less ascending with somewhat incurving tips, oblong, more or less abruptly acuminate, 2.5-3 cm long, thicker towards the tips and here approx. 5 mm thick, face flat or somewhat convex, back very convex and keeled towards the tips, green or brownish green, the upper third pellucid and with many longitudinal lines, which never or scarcely reach the apex, the tips terminated with a simple or rarely a few toothed, to 8 mm long bristle, the margins and keels entire or with very small white, irregularly distributed teeth. Peduncle simple, about 30 cm tall. Flowers with very short pedicels; bracts about 5 mm long, acuminate, membranaceous, with a brown middle nerve; perianth about 12 mm long, the recurved segments about 4 mm long.
