Plant solitary, acaulescent, with leaves in a tight basal rosette to 3.8 cm tall; not. or slowly proliferous from the base; Leaves c. 15, erect and ± incurved when young, later more ascending, acutely keeled below towards the tip, c. 3.5 cm long, 10 mm wide at base, up to 1.3 cm in diameter near tip, narrow to broad oblong to truncate, somewhat obtuse, olive green, with a 2 mm long deciduous end-awn; upper surface concave and pellucid for 10 mm with 15 reddish longitudinal lines, the longest centre line extending to the tip; lower surface with c. 15 reddish lines in the apical 10 mm pellucid area, minutely grooved, these and the ridges pubescent, white, 1.05 mm long, distributed for 15 mm on the upper and lower surfaces; margins rounded, pubescent. Inflorescence 20 cm tall; raceme 10 cm long, lax, with 12 flowers of which 2 open simultaneously; pedicels 1 mm long, 1 mm diam., green; perianth white, 15 mm long, 4 mm across, curved; stamens 6 and 7 mm long; ovary 3 mm long, 1.3 mm diam., green; style 1 mm long, not capitate.
