Characteristics

Plant stemless, 2-3 cm in diam., proliferous from the base and soon forming a dense cluster. Leaves erect-spreading, ovate-lanceolate or ovate-deltoid, acute, 15-18 mm long, 6-9 mm wide, ending in a short whitish point or sometimes a short bristle which becomes brownish with age, pale green in color, somewhat shining, face of leaves turgid in the upper half and with 5-7 darker, anastomosing lengthwise lines, back of leaves rounded and with more lines than the face, keeled in the upper part, margins and keel smooth or usually with very minute, obtuse teeth. Peduncle simple, to 30 cm tall; pedicels 3-5 mm long, bracts about the same length; perianth 10-12 mm long, whitish in color with darker lengthwise lines, the recurved obtuse segments of the same color.
