Capitula 9–12 mm long, heterogamous, solitary or in small groups, terminal, but through the branching resembling a many-headed leafy corymb; phyllaries shiny golden yellow or (the outermost) brownish, 3–4-seriate, lanceolate, 3–11 mm long, acute to obtuse, glabrous; receptacle honeycombed..
