Capitula 3.5–4.5 mm long, heterogamous, many united in dense subglobose cymes, these terminal and solitary or several together in lax leafy corymbs; stalks of individual capitula absent or nearly so; phyllaries yellow, 4–6-seriate, ovate to lanceolate, 2.5–4.2 mm long, obtuse or rounded, the outermost with a small patch of pubescence and glands at the base; receptacle fimbriae to 1 mm long..
