Characteristics

Decumbent, sprawling shrub, branches 0.15-0.60 m long; densely tomentose with greyish, sessile, bulbous-based and stipitate stellate hairs. Leaves petiolate (± 20 mm), dark green, coriaceous, ovate, ± 70 mm long, margins crenate. Stipules parted at base into 2 or 3 leaf-like segments. Inflorescences axillary, 2-flowered; peduncles ± 25 mm long; pedicels filiform, indumentum less dense. Flowers 16 mm long, white, drying orange-brown. Calyx campanulate, 5-lobed in upper half; densely tomentose. Petals 1.5x longer than calyx. Flowering time all year.
